As a Data Scientist at MAVI, you’ll play a crucial role in leveraging data to unlock insights and drive our mission forward.

What You'll Do:

As a Data Scientist at MAVI, you’ll be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, working with diverse datasets to uncover insights that inform our platform’s development and impact. You’ll:

Handle Data Extraction, Processing, and Modeling: Develop and implement robust data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources. Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models and generate actionable insights.
Develop and Refine MAVI Metrics: Contribute to the development and refinement of MAVI’s proprietary metrics, such as the Market Prosperity Quotient (MPQ) and Community Prosperity Insights (CPI), using data analysis and statistical modeling.
Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis: Explore large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that shed light on the interconnectedness between economic, social, and environmental factors.
Build Data Visualizations and Dashboards: Create compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate data insights into actionable product features and strategic recommendations.
Conduct Research and Experimentation: Explore new data sources, methodologies, and algorithms to enhance our understanding of conscious capitalism and sustainable development.
Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data.
Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Continuously learn and explore new advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields.

What We're Looking For:

Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Proficiency in Data Tools: Expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Machine Learning Expertise: Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with experience in building and deploying models.
Data Visualization Skills: Ability to create clear and compelling visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
Passion for Impact: Genuine interest in conscious capitalism, social impact, and sustainable development.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points:

Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience in natural language processing (NLP).
Knowledge of economic modeling or related fields.
